The hotel is holding a block of rooms for us. Everyone should make their own
reservations. Reservations need to be made by August 9 to ensure
getting a room in the same building as the other veterans. If you don't
get your reservations in by then, there will be other buildings near by
where you can probably get in. We will be staying in Building 6 with a
free continental breakfast just across the road. The rooms being
held are regular motel-type rooms. The price for the rooms in Building 6 is $57.00 per night plus
tax. There are also condos and cabins on site which are higher
priced. If anyone prefers those, they should ask for the price when making reservations.
Our special rate will
apply for three days prior and three days after the above dates, if
anyone would like to stay longer.
When
calling for reservations, be sure to specify the group name of Saumur
Army Buddies Reunion and group code of 14-936. The group code
is very important for getting the correct rooms reserved. Inform the
resort when making reservations if you need a room with handicapped
parking in front of the room. Our meeting room is in the same building
as the rooms (ground level) and is reserved for our use for the four
days only. The phone number for making reservations is: 1-877-502-7058 Again,
give the group name of Saumur Army Buddies Reunion and, most
importantly, the group
code of
14-936.
If you know of any other Saumur veterans that would like to attend or if
you would like to bring any family members or friends, please do not
hesitate to invite them. Let us know if we need to send the information
to anyone. If you have any problems when making reservations, let us
know and we will contact the group rate representative we have been
working with to straighten out any misunderstandings. We are looking
